MBBR – Biofilter Media

Biofilter Media - MBBR

MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) Bio Filter Media is widely used in both Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge (IFAS) and MBBR systems for efficient wastewater treatment.

As wastewater passes through the suspended MBBR media, a biological film gradually forms on the surface of the media. This biofilm harbors microorganisms that actively consume organic matter, thereby purifying the wastewater.

The media is specially designed to provide a large surface area for microbial attachment and growth. By maximizing the available surface area, it significantly reduces the tank footprint required for effective treatment.

MBBR media is designed to move freely within the reactor. In aerobic systems, aeration provides the necessary movement, while in anaerobic systems, mechanical mixing is used to keep the media in motion.

Our newly developed MBBR media offers superior treatment performance compared to traditional media, ensuring more efficient and reliable wastewater processing.
